Tether’s Chief Technology Officer Remains Mum on Bitcoin Mining Sites

Paolo Ardoino, the chief technology officer of Tether, recently addressed rumors about images of large industrial containers online. He clarified that the photo shows a control room at a Bitcoin mining site that Tether is completing and will soon begin operations at. However, he hesitated to reveal the exact location due to security concerns. Ardoino mentioned that the site is located in South America but provided no further details. He also explained that the photoshopped Tether Energy logo on the containers was a deliberate media decision and that displaying logos at the mining sites would not be wise from a security standpoint. Operations at the site are expected to commence in September. Tether is also developing mining software called Moria, aimed at providing more transparency in Bitcoin mining locations. The software will provide comprehensive data analytics on energy production at mining sites. Ardoino believes that Moria will assist in evaluating the performance and surrounding environment of the sites.
